Koenig documents the South Buffalo from the start of operations in 1899 to the line's sale to Genesee & Wyoming Industries in 2001 using text and 150 historic photos. The book includes details of the mill's own narrow gauge line, plus a complete South Buffalo steam and diesel roster. This hard-working short line was possibly the most significant railroad in the state of New York.
