The book focuses on present day operations in Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia and delves into the entrepreneurial and geographic reasons shaping the location and development of C&O.

The story covers 600 route miles and is told in 160 pages with 230 color photos spanning 1958 to 2010, diagrams, signal information, maps, and a time line of C&O transactions and events.
